Travel Management Group has been a member of the Guild of Business Travel Agents (GBTA) for several years. Founded in 1967, the Guild is the UK's leading professional body promoting not only the interests of its members but also business travel issues affecting the corporate traveller and the corporate client. Its 35 members between them account for aound 80% of business travel bookings in the UK.

But the GBTA has changed its name and as of 25th January 2005 it became the GTMC- Guild of Travel Management Companies.

The key reason is that the historical role of the business travel agent- booking & issuing tickets, and trading on commission- has changed beyond all recognition. Guild members are no longer travel agents, they are travel management companies working closely with you, the corporate customer, to manage your business travel processes and budgets as cost-effectively as possible.

The name "Guild of Travel Management Companies" reflects the true role of the Guild membership in the 21st century. We are in the business of managing travel and have been for some time.
